Printing Responsibly

Sustainability

Small choices in how we design pages add up to real savings in paper and ink.

Printing at home uses real paper and real ink, so we design every page with that in mind. Our goal is for a fun afternoon of coloring to also be a light footprint on the planet.

How we design for less waste

Ink-efficient line art

Our pages favor clean line work over heavy shaded areas, so printers use less ink per page.

Single-sheet layouts

Most designs are built to fit on a single Letter or A4 sheet, avoiding unnecessary extra pages.

Free online coloring

Our browser-based tool lets you color without printing at all, whenever paper is not needed.

Tips for printing sustainably at home

  • Use your printer’s draft or eco mode for a lighter ink footprint on practice pages.
  • Print double-sided when a page allows it, to cut paper use in half.
  • Save a finished page instead of reprinting if you want to color it again digitally.
  • Try the online coloring tool for a paper-free option any time.
