You do not need an expensive set to enjoy coloring. Here are the basics we recommend, from beginner-friendly to more advanced.

- Standard printer paper for practicing and everyday pages
- A pencil sharpener and a soft eraser
Leveling up
- A dual-tip alcohol marker set like Ohuhu for blending and shading, see our Ohuhu Marker List
- Marker-safe paper or light cardstock to prevent bleed-through
- A blank swatch chart to test and organize new colors
For detailed, professional-style work
- Refillable alcohol markers like Copic or OLO, see our Copic Marker List or OLO Marker List
