How to make it
Step 1: Color the pumpkin and the surprise
Color the outer pumpkin in warm oranges and the hidden friend — maybe a kitten, candy, or tiny ghost — in cheerful contrast colors.
Step 2: Cut the peek window
Carefully cut three sides of the pumpkin door or window so it opens like a flap. Leave one edge attached as the hinge.
Step 3: Layer the surprise
Glue the surprise character onto a backing sheet so it sits behind the opening. Align it so the face shows when the flap lifts.
Step 4: Assemble and play
Secure the layers at the edges (not across the flap). Open and close the peek-a-boo door — instant delight.
